I stumbled upon hot blueberries by accident one day when we ran out of fresh berries. I put some frozen ones in the microwave to defrost and put them on too long. The result was a delightful slightly jammy mess which I’ve been enjoying on my breakfast porridge ever since. I photographed them here on crockery from the Mid Winter Queensbury range, which dates back to the 60s. The colours suit this breakfast very well and the name suits my warming winter breakfast very well too!
